Proposal to be introduced
Issue date: 12/2/09 Section: News
At the second to last meeting of the semester, two proposals will be introduced to the Student Senate. The first would establish a bylaw revision committee, similar to the current Committee of Constitutional Oversight.
Zachariah Caskey, a first semester student senate member, was one of the four authors who submitted the proposal.
"It is very imperative that we take a deeper look at our bylaws and revisit them," Caskey said. "We need to make sure that the language coincides."
The second proposal will request $218.13 to fund an Eastern representative's travel costs to attend the December Illinois Board of Higher Education Student Advisory Committee Conference at Northeastern Illinois University.
Director of Housing Mark Hudson will speak to the Student Senate about the Bond Revenue committee. The Student Senate meeting will be at 7 p.m. today in the Arcola/Tuscola Room in the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union.
