Campus Briefs: Student Senate's final meeting before break

The Student Government will hold its final meeting before Thanksgiving Break at 7 p.m. today in the Arcola/Tuscola room in the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union. The Student Senate has no new or old business to discuss on the agenda.

Benefit for Dennis Diltz
A benefit in honor of Dennis Diltz will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Charleston VFW.

Diltz, a building service worker in the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union, has been undergoing treatments for cancer and is unable to work.

A Longaberger, Celebrating Home and Pampered Chef Binga will be offered starting at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets for Binga are $10 for 12 games, and can be purchased in advance. Early bird, intermission and black-out games will be sold at the door.

A silent auction and bake sale will take place, as will a 50/50 raffle. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. Food will be offered for a free-will donation.

All proceeds from this event will go to cover medical expenses.
