With Thanksgiving break and finals right around the corner, thinking of a place to hang one's hat next year might be one of the furthest things from a student's mind. Campus has many living accommodations, whether it is the single life, with a few roommates or with a random student.
Students who at least know they want to live on campus next year may find this helpful in their pursuit for a place to live.
South Quad
Carman: Men's and women's towers. Mainly freshmen. Carman Dining Hall. Two elevators per tower. Each floor has 16 double occupancy rooms, four deluxe triples, a common-area bathroom and a floor lounge. Laundry rooms are on the top three floors and there is a main laundry room in the basement. Does not have 24-hour visitation on weekdays.
Andrews: Women only. Laundry facilities are located on each floor with two washers and dryers. Does not have 24-hour visitation on weekdays. Each floor has 30 rooms with two triples. Two elevators.
Lawson: Women only. Laundry facilities are located on each floor with two washers and dryers. Has 24-hour visitation. Each floor has 30 rooms with two triples. Two elevators.
Thomas: Men only. Two towers. 24-hour visitation. Basement laundry facility. Attached convenience store and dining hall, which connects to Andrews. Elevator.
Taylor: Men and Women, divided by floor. Two towers. 24-hour visitation. Dining hall, which connects to Lawson. Laundry facilities for each tower. Elevator.
Triad
Weller: Co-ed by wing. 24-hour visitation. Laundry facility.
Ford: Designed for students with disabilities. Co-ed by wing. No 24-hour visitation on weekdays. Laundry facility.
McKinney: Co-ed by wing. Honors student housing. 24-hour visitation. Laundry facility.
Tower
Lincoln: Women only. Connected to Stevenson Hall. Laundry facility in basement. Shares dining hall with Stevenson and Douglas. 24-hour visitation.
Stevenson: Upperclassman housing. Suites. 24-hour visitation. Laundry facility in basement. Two elevators. The tallest building in Coles County.
Douglas: Men only. Connected to Stevenson Hall. Laundry facility in basement. 24-hour visitation.
North Quad
Pemberton: Women only. Laundry facility in basement. Not connected to a dining hall. Oldest women's residence hall in the state of Illinois and is a historical landmark. No 24-hour visitation.
University Court Apartments: Each apartment has two bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom, dining and living room area. A pool is located in the center of the complex. Kitchens come with refrigerator, oven with stovetop and sink. Fully furnished. Most utilities included in rent.
University Apartments: Family and graduate student housing. All utilities included in rent. Furnished and partially furnished apartments.
