On Friday, April 17, Aliyah Abir, professional Middle-Eastern dancer and instructor, taught the basics of belly dancing to a handful of girls in the McAfee Gym. During her two-hour demonstration, students learned roughly 15 different moves that can be applied to belly dancing styles from across the world. The event was part of Asian Heritage Month.
