5/1 Update: Former student found dead at Charleston residence

Dan Witry, 21, of Charleston, was found dead Thursday night at his residence at 1107 Madison Ave. No. 3.
Witry was a former Eastern student who last attended the university in fall 2006.
Police are currently investigating the death, and Coles County Coroner Ed Schniers said an autopsy is being conducted.
Schniers said Witry's death was not of a suspicious matter.
The Charleston Police Department, assisted by the Charleston Fire Department, Coles County's Coroner's Office and Illinois State Crime Scene Services, responded to the scene Thursday night.
The police department reported that officers responded at 8:20 p.m.
