Campus Briefs: Bricks to be painted for diversity

The Residence Hall Association will be hosting the Writing on the Wall Brick Painting event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and Thursday in the Library and South quads.
Bricks will also be painted at 5:45 p.m. Thursday in the South Quad.
At the event, bricks will be decorated with words or phases that have hurt, offended or marginalized students to be used in the construction of a wall of oppression for Social Justice and Diversity Week.
Graduate Expo events continues today
The Graduate School and the Graduate Student Advisory Council are hosting Graduate Expo Week 2009 this week.
Today, the College of Sciences will have a presentation at 11 a.m. in the Effingham Room of the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union. Christoph Heeren will make an MBA presentation titled "Corporate Social Responsibility in Sin Industries" from 2 to 2:30 p.m. today in Lumpkin Hall 3011.
A presentation from the College of Education and Professional Studies will begin at 3 p.m. in the Martinsville Room of the Union.
A Graduate Student Social will concluded today's events with free BBQ pulled pork sandwiches and ice cream sandwiches at 7 p.m. in Klehm Hall, Room 2309.
On Thursday, a poster exhibit and awards ceremonies will conclude the week's events.
Deadline for textbook return approaches
All textbooks do not have to be returned to the Textbook Rental Service at the same time. Textbooks can be returned as each class is finished.
The deadline to return textbooks from the spring semester is at 3 p.m. Friday, May 8.
