Despite having its 13-game win streak snapped, the Eastern baseball team won its fourth straight Ohio Valley Conference series. The Panthers won 30-3 hitting nine home runs against Tennessee Martin Saturday in Martin, Tenn.

Eastern (24-6, 9-1 OVC) split a doubleheader Friday, winning 10-3 and losing 13-3.

In the first game, Eastern sophomore pitcher Josh Mueller (6-0) pitched a complete game. In the second game, the Panthers were held to three runs on six hits.

"We got two of three on the road, and we're 9-1 in the OVC after a bump in the road (Saturday)," said Eastern head coach Jim Schmitz said. "I'm very pleased with just the way they came out and got it done. It started with a good pregame. That's a sign of a good team; I'm excited about that."

The Panthers return to action against Illinois at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Champaign.
