The Live Line Demonstration Bill will be brought before the Student Senate at today's meeting in hopes of having the additional allocation of $500 approved for release from the Student Government reserve account.

The Live Line Demo took place Tuesday in McAfee Gymnasium as part of Campus Safety Week, a series of events hosted by the Student Government.

"Because we were expecting the donations to come through, I didn't want to release money unless we were going to use it," said Student Body President Levi Bulgar. "Seeing how (the) senate overwhelmingly voted for the event, I don't foresee it being a problem to be passed."

Two Live Line Demo shows were presented on campus. The first was held for the Facilities Planning and Management employees, and was paid for by Gary Reed and Facilities Planning and Management.

The second show was held for students and will be paid for by the Student Government. The Senate will also look to pass four budgets during the meeting.

Last week, four budgets were brought to the senate for approval from the Apportionment Board, the Student Recreation Center, the University Board and the Student Government.

Student Senate Speaker Drew Griffin said these budgets have no major controversies following them and should be passed with no major arguments.

"No real problems have been raised, but every senator has been given a copy of what each budget looks like so they may be waiting to ask questions during open discussion at the meeting so they can address the boards themselves," Griffin said.

Also in new business, a resolution concerning the Renewable Energy Center will be discussed to see where the Student Senate stands as a whole.

"We would like to pass a statement to send to our representatives which states that we are in full support of the (steam plant) bill as it stands," said Eric Wilber, student executive vice president.

Student Senate meets at 7 p.m. today in the Arcola/Tuscola Room of the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union.
