Eastern senior shortstop Jordan Kreke was named to the College Baseball Foundation's National All-Star Lineup.

Kreke went 11-for-18 last week as he was honored by the foundation that recognizes 15-20 players each week.

Kreke has won the last two Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week awards. He became the first position player to accomplish the feat since March 2006.

He tied an Eastern single-game record with eight RBIs in the March 29 game one victory against Tennessee Tech, a contest in which he connected on a pair of three-run homers.

Kreke finished the week with 10 RBIs and eight runs scored. He was 6-for-6 with runners in scoring position and collected six of his 10 RBIs with two outs.

Kreke joins senior center fielder Brett Nommensen (March 18) as Panthers recognized in the CBF's weekly honor roll this season.

Eastern junior thrower Kandace Arnold was named the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Female Field Athlete of the Week for the second straight week as Eastern athletes won three of the four conference weekly awards.

Arnold was joined by senior Shawana Smith, who was named the Female Track Athlete of the Week, and freshman DeMarcus Brooks, who was named the Male Track Athlete of the Week.

Arnold swept three throwing events at last weekend's Indiana State Invite placing first in the discus, shot put and hammer throw. Smith won the 200-meter dash and placed second in the 100-meter dash at Indiana State. Brooks won the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash.
