3/13 Update: Suspects arrested in off-campus armed robbery

At 10:30 p.m. Thursday, police officers apprehended armed robbery suspect Andrew S. Maisonneuve in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at 950 Fourth St. Apt. 17, according to the Charleston Police Department.
Both Maisonneuve and suspect Derek B. Mitchel are incarcerated at the Coles County Safety and Detention Center, said the Charleston police.
The armed robbery was reported at 6:56 p.m. Tuesday at the apartment complex on 950 Fourth St, according to Charleston Police Chief Mark Jenkins.
A campuswide e-mail was sent at 10:30 a.m. today by Dan Nadler, vice president for student affairs, stating that police had apprehended and arrested the two subjects involved in the recent off-campus armed robbery and that the crime is under investigation.
The e-mail advised anyone with information about this incident to call the Charleston Police Department at 345-8406.
The University Police Department, the Illinois State Crime Scene Services, Coles County State's Attorney's Office and the Coles County Sheriff's Office assisted the Charleston Police Department in this investigation.
