Softball at New Mexico State Tournament
Eastern 2, New Mexico State 1
The Eastern softball team defeated 2-1 New Mexico State on Saturday afternoon behind the pitching of Eastern sophomore pitcher Amber May. May pitched a complete game for the Panthers (4-0). She scattered six hits, walked one and struck out nine. Eastern will finish up the tourney at 10 a.m. Sunday against Central Michigan.

Eastern 6, Texas-El Paso 1
The Eastern softball team defeated Texas-El Paso 6-1 on Saturday morning at the New Mexico State Tournament in Las Cruces, N.M. The Panthers used a three-run home run from senior second baseman Sarah Coppert to defeat the Miners (4-5).

Men's and Women's Track at Iowa State Classic, DePauw Invitational
Both Eastern track squads competed at the Iowa State Classic today in Ames, Iowa. Junior Jason Springer finished fourth in the mile today.

The Panthers will also be competing at the DePauw Invitational today in Greencastle, Ind.

Women's Basketball: Eastern 70, Eastern Kentucky 59
The Eastern Illinois women's basketball team beat Eastern Kentucky 70-59 on Saturday afternoon in Richmond, Ky. The Panthers (19-7, 12-2 Ohio Valley Conference) used a 28-point effort from Eastern Illinois senior forward Rachel Galligan to match its win total from last season.

Men's Basketball at Eastern Kentucky, 6 p.m., Richmond, Ky.

Men's and Women's Tennis at Indiana-Purdue-Ft. Wayne
The Eastern men's and women's tennis teams are competing at Indiana-Purdue-Ft. Wayne in Fort Wayne, Ind. The Eastern men's tennis team defeated Dayton 5-2 this morning. Both squads will play Robert Morris at 5 p.m. this afternoon. Both squads will also play IFPW at noon Sunday.
