About 13 students performed at the well-attended "So you think you can rap?" free-style rap competition in the Grand Ballroom of the Martin Luther King, Jr. University Union Thursday night.

Senior art major Ian Winston, or "I2K" took first place based on his talent, command of the audience and stage presence. Among prizes like a free portfolio, studio recording time and 50 CDs to hand out to family and friends, Winston also scored a spot as an opening act for Lupe Fiasco at the spring concert.
