Campus Briefs: Career Services to host job fair

Career Services is sponsoring the Career Network Day job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today in the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union ballrooms. Students will have the opportunity to talk to recruiters and provide resumes. Full-time positions, internships and part-time summer employment are all being recruited. Business attire is required and all majors are welcome to attend.


Members needed for Homecoming committees

The University Board is accepting applications for positions open in the homecoming committees. Positions are available in the panther pride, parade, coronation, kick-off, elections, activities and community relations committees.

Paper applications are available in the Student Activity Center in the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union. Copies can also be downloaded from the UB Web site by clicking on the "Now Hiring All Committee Members" link. Completed applications can be given to Laurel Fuqua or placed in Alyssa Anderson's mailbox in the Student Activity Center.

Darwin Day program presents film

In recognition of the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of the "Origin of Species," the Darwin Day Organizing Committee will present the film "Darwin vs. Kansas" at 4 p.m. today in room 2080 of the Life Sciences Building. The film was a best documentary winner. The event is free and open to the public.
