RHA met at 5 p.m. Thursday to discuss events, including the first-ever Double Dare competition between all the residence halls on campus.
Double Dare will be a week-long contest from Feb. 23 through Feb. 27 with different activities and games held on each day. The purpose of the contest will be to try and create a stronger bond between the residence hall's executive boards.
"It's a great opportunity for all the halls to come out and get to know each other," said Karla Browning, programming and diversity director for the RHA.
The executive boards will compete at each day's game or activity and will be judged based on performance. Points will be awarded for a variety of categories including team names, uniforms and ranking in each event.
The events for the competition will include a large game of twister, a talent show and challenges that mimic the Double Dare TV show.
"Double Dare sounds awesome because it has organized competition with a great diversity of people," said Corryn Moorman, president of McKinney Hall executive board.
The RHA is also sponsoring a Siblings Weekend to be held March 6 through March 8. The weekend gives residents the opportunity to invite brothers and sisters to Eastern and participate in programs that each residence hall holds. Activities for this weekend will include movies, games and a chainsaw juggler.
"Siblings Weekend is a great opportunity for brothers and sisters to get to know Eastern," said RHA President Justin Schuch.
