Lupe Fiasco to head Spring Concert
Possible opening act negotiations still ongoing

University Board sent out a press release Friday announcing Lupe Fiasco as this year's spring concert.
The rap artist will perform at 8 p.m. on April 4 in Lantz Arena.
According to the press release, the UB Concerts Committee is still negotiating a possible opening act, which has not been decided yet.
Lupe Fiasco was one of four bands UB was considering. Ben Folds, T-Pain and Jack's Mannequin were also considered.
In 2006, Lupe Fiasco was nominated for three Grammy Awards including Best Rap Album, Best Solo Rap Performance and Best Song for "Kick Push."
His first album was titled "Lupe Fiasco's Food and Liquor." Lupe Fiasco's second album "The Cool" was released in 2007 and contains the hit single "Superstar."
He is currently nominated for four Grammy's at this year's awards show scheduled for Feb. 8. He is nominated for Best Rap Solo Performance, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Superstar," Best Rap song for "Superstar" and Best Rap Album for "The Cool."
Tickets for the concert are $10 for students with an ID and $20 for the general public.
Tickets go on sale March 2 to students and March 9 for the general public and can be purchased at the ticket office from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union or by calling 581-5122.
