Campus Briefs: Audition to perform in spring plays

Open auditions for spring plays will be held on Wednesday. Auditions start with registration at 6:30 p.m. in the concourse of the Doudna Fine Arts Center and will continue at 7 p.m. in The Theatre.
Those auditioning will be required to perform two one-minute monologues of contrasting nature and provide a resume of theatrical credits. A headshot should be provided but is not necessary. Auditions are open to anyone. For more information, call 581-3121.
New meal plan option for faculty, staff
Faculty and staff meal plans are now available for purchase at the University Housing and Dining Services in the lower level, west wing of the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union.

Pack the place for women's basketball
The third and final installment of the Pack The Place! residence hall competition will take place at Thursday's women's basketball game in Lantz Arena. The game begins at 5:30 p.m. Residents must show their Panther Card upon check-in. The Pack The Place! campaign was started to increase student attendance at Eastern sporting events.
Lincoln's life depicted through folk music
Award-winning folk singer Chris Vallillo uses historic narratives, contemporary folk music and period folk songs to present the life of Abraham Lincoln.
The Abraham Lincoln in Song Workshop is at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site in Lerna and is free and open to the public. For information, call the School of Continuing Education at 581-5114.
