VP nominations begin

Residence Hall Association vice president nominations took place at Thursday night's RHA meeting at Thomas Hall to replace former RHA Vice President Michael Andrew who had resigned.
At least five people were nominated including Bryn Rich, Matt Triezenberg, Brad Saribekian, Shannon Davis and Karla Browning.
The vice president position is supposed to handle responsibilities such as keeping up with the constitution and bylaws to keeping an accurate file of all committee reports.
Elections will be held during the following meeting.
Another event that was discussed at Thursday's meeting was the Human Race Machine.
Quiana Stone, complex director at Carman Hall for University Housing and Dining, talked about a Human Race Machine that allows students to have a digitally taken photograph of themselves and then digitally altered to look similar to a maximum of six different nationalities.
"I just love diversity and social justice," Stone said after talking to RHA about her goal for this machine.
If voted yes on, the machine will be set up in the Grand Ballroom of the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union during the "Beyond Words: Museum of Oppression" exhibit.
The RHA will vote on this during its next meeting. Another topic covered at the meeting was the RHA/National Residence Hall Honorary scholarships.
Four scholarships will be given out to four outstanding students who have contributed to Eastern through leadership and service.
Hannah Plevka, NRHH chapter president handed out fliers about the scholarships.
More information about the individual scholarships, as well as application information and due dates, will be given out in the spring semester. The awards will be presented at the RHA/NRHH End of the Year Banquet in April.
RHA also talked about organizing different ways to help students feel less stressed during finals week. RHA also talked about having a stress relieving party for students.
