Next week most students will make the trek home for the yearly event we in the United States like to call Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is famous because it is the day the Detroit Lions get embarrassed on national TV in front of an even bigger crowd and John Madden explains the complexities of the Turducken (a turkey stuffed with duck stuffed with chicken - above). Oh, and people also give thanks for the good aspects of their life.

Eastern sports also continue during Thanksgiving Break, and here are the top three games.

1. Nov. 24

The women's basketball team will host Southern Methodist at Lantz Arena at noon. The Mustangs are the reigning Conference-USA Tournament champs, and the Panthers could make a statement to the rest of the Ohio Valley Conference with a big win at home.

2. Nov. 26

The men's basketball team will travel to the home of the Indiana Pacers, Conseco Field House in Indianapolis to play Indiana-Purdue-Indianapolis. The Jaguars finished 26-7 last season and will be one of the Panthers' toughest non-conference tests of the season.

3. Nov. 30

The women's basketball team will travel to the Buckeye State to play Cincinnati in a 1:30 p.m. game in Fifth Third Arena. The game will be another big test for the Panthers as a road win against a Big East school can only improve their tournament resume at the end of the season.
