The additional allocation was $2,670.
"Last year, we made a projection of what we thought this year's salaries were going to be," AB member Ted Hart said.
AB member Laurel Fuqua said her staff position on Apportionment Board is the one that works with payroll.
"My job is a 10-month job, and we budgeted for a 10-month job, but we are not sure what the encumbrance is for," Fuqua said.
An encumbrance is where Apportionment Board puts on hold a certain amount of money, and the payroll office has control of that money.
University Board also presented at AB and talked about its retreat at the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) on Oct. 30, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.
"There were showcases of comedians and entertainers, and we got to see who was really funny and who was not," University Board Chair Mike Usher said. "Some comedians you think are really funny, but you are only hearing a five-minute tape of them. We also got free stuff that was being handed out from all the people that were showcasing."
Sheila Hurley of University Board Concerts liked that she got to see all different varieties of performers at the retreat.
