A proposal will be brought to Student Senate today pertaining to university board movies.
"We will be having an additional allocation request from UB come to the table," said Student Body President Levi Bulgar. "University Board is asking for an additional $2,621 so they can put on their regularly scheduled movies programs for the spring of 2009."
This proposal passed the Apportionment Board by a vote of 11-0 Thursday.
The senate needs to vote on it at its meeting at 7 p.m. in the Arcola/Tuscola Room of the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union.
Also, one new person has been nominated to Student Supreme Court and will present at the meeting. Two nominees who were supposed to present last week will also present at the meeting.
"Three nominated members of the Student Supreme Court will be coming in front of (the) senate to introduce themselves," Bulgar said. "They will give insight into why they wanted to be on the Student Supreme Court and why I choose them."
Steve Johnson, Marsheela Stinson and Quentin Frazier are the three nominees.
Bulgar has two more interviews today and Thursday for the last two positions on the court.
In other business, one proposal for additional allocations for Student Senate elections and the other line item transfer for UB marketing that AB approved also will be voted on at the meeting.
"The elections bill will cover cost for the elections that will be held in December," Bulgar said.
