Videographer Nicole Milstead sat down with World War II veteran Jim Lanman to find out more about his time in the military. He entered the war in its later stages and was training in the Philippines for an invasion of the Japanese mainland when the United States dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the Japanese surrendered. Lanman was then part of the occupation force in Japan after the war ended.
