Eastern's Health Service Medical Clinic recently welcomed two new members to its staff.
Kimberley Hollender, M.D., and Kathie Blesch, a certified physician's assistant, are the newest faces on the medical clinic's team, and they both said they are happy with their new jobs at Eastern.
Hollender, of Decatur, earned her bachelor's degree at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington-Normal and earned her medical doctorate at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Hollender said she is impressed that the Medical Clinic is providing quality care to the students.
"I've been very impressed that it is very student focused," Hollender said. "Everyone seems to want to take care of the students."
Blesch, of Mattoon, graduated from Ohio State University's College of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio, and earned her physician's assistant degree from Kettering College in Kettering, Ohio.
Blesch has joined the staff as a physician's assistant and said she is also impressed with Health Service. She is very enthusiastic about her new position.
Since she began working at Eastern, Blesch said she thinks the clinic is very well organized and everything seems to be going very well.
While Blesch had many reasons for coming to Eastern, she said she is most interested in working with college students.
"The students have been great," Blesch said. "I enjoy working with them."
