Starting strictly as a social networking fad, No-Shave November has united beard-growers everywhere.
There are only a few certain rules to follow: the last day to shave is Oct. 30, because one must start off with a clean-shaven face, and cannot shave until the last day of November.

Currently, there is a movement on campus-under supervision of the student-created group Students for a Living Wage-to increase the wages of all ISU employees.
Also recently, their proposal to increase these wages to $19.51 was decried by Diann McKee, the vice president of finance here at ISU, saying this increase would cost $12 million for full-time employees, which would either cause budget cuts or require the university to increase revenue in some fashion.

Growing up in the suburbs can extremely narrow a person's worldview. I grew up in Naperville, a ritzy, predominantly white town. Most of my classmates were white throughout grade and high school, and they did not have much interaction with diverse groups. These same classmates would repeatedly spout racist jokes concerning crime and intelligence and laugh uncontrollably.

Freshman English teaching major Sam Clark walked up to the Wall of Hate Monday and wrote the word "freak."
"I tried to think of the one thing I have been called that was the most offensive," Clark said. "I was going through a phase where I was really into metal music, and I walked past a pastor one day and he called me a freak and told me I was going to hell.
